There’s nothing more heartwarming than capturing the very first days of a new life. Newborn sessions are always a favorite of mine because they are filled with tenderness, tiny details, and quiet moments that will be treasured for years to come.

During this session, I focused on highlighting the little things that parents want to remember forever—the curl of tiny fingers, the softness of baby hair, and the way they fit so perfectly in their parents’ arms. Every stretch, yawn, and snuggle felt like a small miracle unfolding right in front of my lens.

We kept the session calm and natural, using soft tones and gentle light to reflect the peacefulness of these first days. I always encourage families to simply relax and love on their baby while I document the moments, and this session was no different—it was full of tender kisses, quiet laughter, and that unmistakable glow of new parenthood.

One of my favorite parts of newborn photography is blending posed images with candid family interactions. The posed shots showcase the beauty of those delicate newborn features, while the lifestyle images capture the connection and joy of the entire family. Together, they tell the full story of this precious new chapter.

As these parents look back on these images months and years from now, I know they’ll be reminded not just of how tiny their baby once was, but of the overwhelming love and joy that filled their home in those first weeks.

If you’re expecting and considering a newborn session, my biggest advice is to book early and plan for those first two weeks after birth—when babies are still very sleepy and cozy. It’s the perfect time to freeze those fleeting details you’ll never want to forget.
